Slip into a #plasticfree future

From disposable slippers to biodegradable bio-slippers.

Immediately after opening the wellness slippers, which are often shrink-wrapped in plastic and offered to hotel guests as a small gesture for warm feet and slip-free walking, they are used and sooner or later end up in the residual waste. This fact is completely incompatible with the efforts of most establishments to provide their guests with the utmost comfort while also minimizing their ecological footprint. This is where Coraldo's natural slippers come into play...

Eco-Friendly Hospitality

The recyclable slippers from the Tyrolean startup Coraldo impressively demonstrate the hotel's commitment to sustainability and environmental protection, giving guests a good feeling in every way! Made from eco-friendly materials such as cork, flax, natural linen, and cotton; gently produced—100 percent handmade and without adhesives—Coraldo offers hoteliers and guests a unique alternative to conventional hotel gadgets with its plastic-free and biodegradable slippers. The bio-slippers were developed in collaboration with Michael Giesswein from the Giesswein shoe manufacturing family.

"It was a significant challenge to devise a completely biodegradable yet affordable option. And we succeeded: with our eco-friendly hotel slippers made from 100% natural materials, we fulfill the modern hotel's and its guests' desire: to enjoy a comfortable disposable product without any guilt."
Martin Girtler, founder of Coraldo.
Inside-Story

Martin Girtler, CEO of Coraldo, worked in the tourism and hospitality industry for many years, while co-founder Michael Giesswein has been involved in his family's business in slipper production. Over the years, both became increasingly aware of the negative impacts of using non-sustainable materials. The entire product design of Coraldo slippers is developed in Europe, and production is also being gradually shifted from Asia to Europe. In addition to hotels as the primary target group, day and private clinics, airlines and cruise operators, beauty and wellness businesses, and thermal baths are also customers of the sustainable brand.
