Rote Wand Stuben

60 Years of Fondue Tradition at the Arlberg. It was 60 years ago that culinary pioneer Josef Walch Sr. brought the art of fondue to the Arlberg. In those days, crowned heads and other familiar faces would often let Josef Walch personally pick them up by horse-drawn carriage in Lech, whisking them away to Gasthof Rote Wand, where they were treated to the finest fondue experiences. Even today, a fondue evening in the Rote Wand Stuben during the winter months remains a culinary highlight on the Arlberg.

The new era in the Rote Wand Stuben comes with a touch of nostalgia: guests are shown to their reserved tables, just like in the good old days. Winter hikers and skiers looking for a gourmet pit stop at the Rote Wand are always warmly welcome.
