At Krone-Stuben, Gault Millau “toques” and grapes go extremely well together, as do style and tradition, and a focus on regional products and quality. Chef de cuisine Thomas Hammerschmid makes sure transport routes are kept short and products are fresh. The result: Austrian classics such as the tender Tafelspitz (prime boiled beef), the delicious Wiener Schnitzel, and the whole roast trout from Zug. Cosmopolitan gourmets indulge in international flavours – from scallops, lobster, and caviar to tagliatelle with truffle nage sauce all the way to Chateaubriand.
And what’s missing to round it all off? An ex-cellent vintage. Or, in the guests’ words: “Astonishing selection of recommended wines. Restaurant manager Steffi Kühl and team turn each visit into a taste explosion. We have been coming for years and the food is always superb.”
