From September 10 to 14, 2014, the somewhat
different music festival “LegeArtis" will once more gather the elite of
today's generation of artists in Lech.
The cultural event which first took place in 2012 follows a unique concept, in order to turn the picturesque alpine village into a meeting point for inspiring discourses around art. It again unites quality and internationality for five days this year. In a dialogue with the audience excellent musicians, visual artists and writers will present spectacular programmes that form a bridge from the heart of our continent to Eastern Europe.
Under the proven artistic direction of the violinist Asya Sorshneva the Wiener KammerOrchester (Vienna Chamber Orchestra), the show-violinist Alexey Igudesman, Edin Karamazov (lute), the Arcis Saxophon Quartett, Vadim Kholodenko (piano), the Apollon Musagete Quartett and the cellist Boris Andrianov are going to present surprising programmes where musical works from different epochs and styles meet.
Apart from the high-quality music programme, LegeArtis, the festival which unites all kinds of arts, provides renowned visual artists with a stage. In 2014 their topic will be Johann Strauss senior, who would have turned 210 years old this year: in exciting performances and peculiar art actions the audience will meet Johann Strauss I who coined Austria's acoustic image all over the world, in the streets and squares of Lech.
A feast for eyes and ears, a bewitching programme for all your senses – let yourself be enchanted!
