Mountain inn BichlAlm – with an extra helping of passion

It’s located in an idyllic spot on Kitzbühel’s sun-kissed slope at an altitude of 1,600 metres: the mountain inn Berggasthof BichlAlm. It’s easy to reach either on foot or via two-person chairlift – once arrived up there the fantastic view of the Kitzbüheler Alps is truly breathtaking.

Niki Gasteiger and his father Klaus are in charge of the mountain inn and for them quality is the most important premise; they have turned the inn into a refuge for those looking for relaxation and fresh mountain air.

No matter if it’s summer or winter, the full moon barbeque on BichlAlm is something you can’t miss. In summer the best thing is to hike back down into the valley afterwards, in winter skiers can make their way down the slopes into Kitzbühel. A tip for hot days: the inn’s Kneipp pool cools you down and it’s good for your health.

Gasthof Auwirt – indulgence (almost) around the clock

The Auwirt inn with its seven individually designed parlours is a popular destination all around the year. The cosy sun terrace is located right by the rushing waters of Kitzbüheler Ache, a broad staircase leads down into the beautiful, well-kept garden. In the evenings soft lighting ensures romantic hours out of doors and the innovative heating system makes sure guests don’t get cold even on chillier days.

New: on the weekends guests can look forward to indulgent à la carte breakfast – with high-quality cold cuts and cheeses and delicious egg dishes. During the summer months Sundays are all about “light meals from our charcoal grill” and zesty drinks specials just like in big international bars as well as home-made ice cream sundaes like the “Auwirt style” banana split complete the offer.

Insider tip: after a lovely meal we’d recommend a walk on the idyllic path along the Ache, heading from Aurach towards Kitzbühel.

A-ROSA’s spacious panoramic terrace magically attracts locals and guests all year round. Here sun-lovers can enjoy a relaxed time with fancy cocktails, excellent coffee, and delicious pastries. Unique: the view of the legendary Streif slope. At Marktplatz Bar right next door a different live band every day ensures a wonderful atmosphere – especially together with the open fireplace and the separate Smoker’s Lounge.

Hotel Rasmushof – at the foot of legendary Streif

Rasmushof certainly boasts one of Kitzbühel’s most beautiful sun terraces. Austrian delicacies and international specialties can be enjoyed together with a view of the hotel’s own golf course, Hahnenkamm, Kitzbüheler Horn and Kitzbüheler Südberge. Gorgeous flowers and an herb garden invite guests to stay and relax. Right next to the terrace fun boccia and croquet games take place in summer – and they’re a hoot to watch, too.

Because of its ideal location right by the slope in the finish area of famous Streif, the terrace turns into a popular hotspot for winter sports and sun lovers each winter. The hotel’s very own ice rink promises fun for young and old during the colds months, too.

La Loupe-Tip:

The hut Hornköpflhütte up on Kitzbüheler Horn has a fantastic panoramic view and on top of that the electric beats and the odd accordion show ensure a boisterous atmosphere.

And the inn Steuerberg, located above Kitzbühel’s Schwarzsee, invites guests to enjoy events in their cosy parlours and on the spacious sun terrace.
